The course prepares students for the advanced placement examination in European History, taken in May. Students are required not only to thoroughly read the college-level text, but also demonstrate the ability to express ideas well in written form. One of the primary objectives of the course is to expose students to all areas of information covered on the AP examination. Emphasis is placed on critical and evaluative thinking skills, essay writing, interpretation of original documents, and historiography.
