Social Studies

The Broomfield High School Social Studies department inspires students to seek answers and solutions to their questions about their world. Our students learn to recognize the importance of context and perspective by examining the continuity and change that occurs within and between individual peoples, communities, countries, and regions. Students of Social Studies acquire the skills to approach and analyze our past and present world. Social Studies offers many advanced classes, including AP Human Geography to freshmen, AP World History to sophomores, AP US History to juniors, and AP Government and AP European History to seniors. Our department also offers dynamic social science classes to upperclassmen, including Anthropology, Economics, Psychology and Sociology. Broomfield Social Studies: Looking to the past and within ourselves to find a better way forward.
