Welcome to Broomfield High School!
The 20-21 school year is beginning in a manner that we never expected. The COVID-19 pandemic has challenged us in many ways. We have experienced distance learning for the first time, being isolated from each other, and learning how to communicate in creative ways. The kindness and support shown between students and staff has been exceptional and reinforces “WE ARE BROOMFIELD.” We have hopefully learned how to slow down, create new passions, and spend time with family.
I begin each school-wide event with this statement: “IT’S A GREAT DAY TO BE AN EAGLE.” We are proud of our school and happy to represent the Broomfield community as we wear our blue and white. Our students continue to succeed in all areas of school life. From academics, to music, to theatre, to athletics, the Broomfield Eagles are recognized for their achievements at district, league, and state levels. I am thankful for the great opportunities that have been given to me to serve the students at Broomfield High School.
Academic excellence and co-curricular involvement are expected. Teachers set high goals for our students and support them in reaching these goals. This year, our students and staff will collaborate through a variety of strategies as they work in distance learning. Students are encouraged to participate in many activities and not limit themselves to one facet of school life. Activities and athletics are already looking different for this school year and I look forward to sharing in these opportunities with our student body.
While we enjoy celebrating athletic and activity successes with new trophies and banners, I continue to challenge our students to strive for unparalleled academic excellence. I am constantly encouraged by the commitment of teachers, parents, and community to create the best environment for all students to feel welcomed and be encouraged to meet their academic goals.
The support of parents and community members has helped us create a setting where issues can be raised and solutions jointly created. We welcome new families and staff to join our Broomfield family as we continue to support our Eagles throughout high school. The people inside the building have created a positive environment for all who attend each day. We are a community school and function as a Broomfield family. The academic successes of our students are positive reflections of our community’s focus.
