Susie Nicholson-Dykstra is a science teacher at Broomfield High School
. Before joining the BHS community, she taught science at Northglenn High School
from 2009-2015, then moved to Maine for a brief adventure in proficiency-based education at Oak Hill High School, in college-level accreditation at the University of Maine at Farmington, and in dairy goat farming. Upon returning to Colorado, she taught at Thornton High School
for a year before joining the Broomfield High School Science Team
As an educator, Ms. Dykstra's goal is to make science accessible, relevant and authentic for all students, and to help students improve as critical thinkers, problem solvers, entrepreneurs, effective collaborators and communicators, and agents of change in a dynamic, global community.
