Hi! My name is Sheri Montoya and I am a Special Education Teacher here at Broomfield High School. I am from Algona, Iowa and went to the University of Northern Iowa for 2 years and transferred to the University of Northern Colorado and received my Masters in 1988. I started my teaching career at Hinkley High School in Aurora, Co. and taught there for 6 years. In 1989, I decided to move to Boulder and teach at Fairveiw High School for 11 years. After that, in 1999, I opened Monarch High School and taught there for 2 years. I then took some time off from high school and taught part-time at Creekside Elementary for 3 years. I really missed the high school scene so in 2004, I started at Broomfield High School and will end my career here. I see myself as a "resource" teacher to any student who wants the help. I love camping and spending time with my two sons, husband and two very special puppies.
